Twenty+ years working with aging adults and families

More and more, working Canadians today are also actively caring for a family member or loved one outside of office hours, or, they are forced to make phone calls and coordinate care services during working hours.  The stress and anxiety of doing double duty has a compounding effect, leading to increased risk of illness, absenteeism, depression and non-performance.    Everyone is affected:  the worker, his or her colleagues and the employer.

Support for working caregivers

We offer the following EAP and workplace services to help employers and employees minimize the impact of caregiver demands and better manage them moving forward.

  • on-site education that explore typical eldercare concerns (such as housing, home care, transportation, isolation, etc) and address knowledge gaps associated with signs, symptoms of changing health and how to respond effectively
  • confidential one-on-one consultations by phone or in the workplace for specific problem solving and individual guidance
  • review and navigation of available support services, both publicly funded sources and private care providers
  • other topic areas upon requested
